Cornell embodies the spirit of the progressive left and any democratic administration should appoint Dr. West and people like him in positions of authority and power.
I really like a lot of what Cornell West brings to the table. In many elections we seem to vote for the lesser of 2 evils and if Dr. West can get on the stage I don't think he would be lesser of 2 evils and instead someone who most of us can agree I a good person with his track record on human rights and workers rights. He still faces a lot of the hurdles many do with a lack of reach and maybe not the clearest message all the time but I believe his heart is in the right place.
I love his spirit, intellect, and willingness to talk about history and policy. I also think he runs the risk of siphoning off votes from the anti-trump side to become a spoiler. That sucks but unless we have ranked choice voting, a vote for Cornel in the Green party is likely going to be the mathematical equivalent of a vote for the Donald.
