Boston Mayor

As Mayor of Boston, Jon Santiago will lead our city through this crisis and to a recovery rooted in equity and opportunity.
The pandemic has laid bare our vulnerabilities — this moment is a reset opportunity for Boston and Jon will lead by listening, engaging, and bringing people together.
As an ER physician, Jon knows how to lead teams, evaluate crisis situations, and deliver results for his patients and their families. As mayor, he will bring the same leadership approach to City Hall.
As a state representative on Beacon Hill, he played an active role in one of the most productive and progressive legislative sessions in the state’s history. He has been a staunch advocate for organized labor as a former member of CIR/SEIU and has championed transportation equity, environmental justice, while securing critical resources to address substance use issues.
Jon is focused on the Boston that emerges from the shadow of COVID-19. He will bring neighborhoods together to address the inequity exposed and exacerbated by the pandemic when it comes to housing, Boston Public Schools, and our economy.
